I am m0m of a Kelly - the name in her case was taken from her grandfather's name Kelsey, and modified. Only later was I told that I was supposed to spell Kelly's name: "Kelley", as the way I spelt it was for males....oh well...it's on her birth certificate as Kelly, and that is what she be!

and as for it being a "boys" spelling, i can gaurantee!! (wink) i'm all Girl!!

When I found this out I was a little disappointed because I wanted there to be some sort of amazing spiritual story behind my mother's choice. Instead she was sitting on the couch eating a piece of pie and watching TV. She heard the name on that show and "thought it was nice." Oh well. I have always found joy in the actual meaning of it anyway. It was first told to me as "warrior woman," and that is something I definitely was born to be!
